I'm pretty excited about my new recording project; a brand-new collection of my favorite hymns! I had so many friends help me with it that I decided to call it Hymns With Friends. This was put together at a new (for me) studio - Modern Sound Recording Studio in Milwaukee. The studio owner, Alex Bennett, also produced and engineered the CD. Wonderful to work with and super talented, Alex did most of the guitar work, all of the drums, and was a great help with arrangements. (He also plays in the praise band at "The Bridge" on the St. Paul campus in Muskego, Wisconsin.) My longtime friend and backup singer Wendysue Fluegge added her great vocals to the music, as did Stephen Bautista and Jayne Nitz. Super country picker Gary Shaw came down from Appleton and played on a couple of songs. Wendysue and Jayne also served as singing coaches for me. I think I've put a new spin on just about every hymn, from subtly altered to very unique. This was truly a joyful collaborative effort, and I think you’ll really enjoy listening to it.
